Jon Voight, Faye Dunaway and Ricky Schroeder star in this story of the love between a father and his son . . . and the woman who tries to separate them. Billy Flynn (Academy Award winner Voight--Ali, Coming Home), who used to be a champion boxer, barely earns enough money to keep himself and his boy (Rick Schroeder--"Lonesome Dove," "NYPD Blue") alive when his ex-wife, Annie (Academy Award winner Dunaway--Network, Chinatown) returns. She has remarried and become successful--and she wants custody of their child. Now to keep the son who adores him, Flynn must train, fight and find it within himself to once again become The Champ.
