Tatiana Maslany

Tatiana Maslany's credits include comedy-drama series "Being Erica" (CBC, 2009-2011) and drama "Heartland" (CBC, 2008-2010), both recorded in her home country of Canada, and in horror films "Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed" (2004) and "Diary of the Dead" (2007). Her most recognizable role was her lead part in the critically acclaimed science fiction drama "Orphan Black" (BBC America, 2013-), in which she plays numerous cloned versions of the same woman, drawing praise for her acting abilities and versatility. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Maslany began dancing and acting when she was young, with her later practice involving extended periods of work in improvisational comedy and theatre. As a child actress she appeared in YTV's "Incredible Story Studio" (1997), while her first major onscreen role was in the Canadian children's sci-fi show "2030 CE" (YTV, 2002-03). Initially making an impact in many other projects from her home country, she would begin to break out with numerous small film roles, as well as the UK's Christmas series "The Nativity" (BBC, 2010) and the Special Jury breakout role award she received for Canadian indie film "Grown Up Movie Star" (2010). Following her breakthrough success with "Orphan Black," Maslany made a two-part guest appearance on the American comedy series "Parks and Recreation" (NBC, 2009-15).
