Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie

An abandoned corpse is identified as a famous movie star, causing huge publicity. In the past, a beautiful young girl, Velonie, has her interests torn between her secret lover, Tony, and her jealous fiancé, Vignesh.

The murder investigation gains steam as sub-inspector Vivek is assigned to the case. Vivek suspects Vignesh and Tony, and links the Ottaparai to the murder. Velonie instantly warms up with an elderly novelist, Ki Sebastian.

Vivek takes the three sons of the old lady in for questioning based on a tip off given by Dr Paulraj, the autopsy doctor. Based on Vignesh's call records and a discussion with Velonie's friend, Vivek suspects Vignesh again.

The police pin the murder on Vignesh and close the case. There is a public backlash against the police for their hasty conclusion. Vivek wants to do justice to the victim.

Ruby tells Vivek that Velonie, returning from church, had met a tall, muscular man. Ki Sebastian meets Vivek, urging him to do everything to solve the case and rehabilitate Velonie's tarnished image.

The confessions of the old lady in Ottaparai put Velonie in a scandalous position. Vivek captures the three brothers but pays a heavy price for it. Velonie's new scandalous image stirs up public involvement once again.
