Young Hodja lives an idyllic but safe life, in the small desert village of Pjort with his parents and faithful goat Raya. He dreams of adventure and the big, wide world beyond the mountains, but his father insists he stays home and take over the family business. Hodja's luck is about to change however, when he meets a neighbour with a very exciting proposition; the old rug merchant, El Faza will give him a magical flying carpet, in exchange for bringing his granddaughter, Diamond, back to Pjort. Unable to believe their good fortune, the excitable pair soar off to search for Diamond in the huge, mysterious capital city of Petto... only to find that city life isn't quite what they expected. Thankfully the pair are saved by street-smart city girl Emerald, a new friend who teaches them how to survive in this chaotic new world. But even Emerald can't stop the worst from happening, when their magic carpet is stolen by the power-hungry sultan! Knowing his luck has run out, can Hodja recover the carpet, complete his mission to find Diamond, and make it out of the city alive?
