Ronnie Claire Edwards

Born in Oklahome City, actress Ronnie Claire Edwards studied drama at the University of Oklahoma before going on to Broadway. After her screen debut in the 1963 film "All the Way Home," she returned to the stage until '74. That year, Edwards joined the cast of the award-winning family drama series "The Waltons." During her seven-year run as Corabeth Walton, Edwards moonlighted on a variety of projects including the shows "Paper Moon" and "Future Cop," the TV movies "This Is the West That Was" and "When Every Day Was the Fourth of July," and the feature films "Five Days from Home" and "Getting Wasted." After guest roles on "Dallas" and "Falcon Crest," Edwards joined the cast of NBC's short-lived Emmy-nominated '85 sitcom "Sara," starring Geena Davis and Bill Maher. Edwards has also appeared on"Dynasty," "Crazy Like a Fox," and "Designing Women," and had roles in the films "Perfect" and"The Dead Pool," starring Clint Eastwood. Occasionally returning to her best known role, Edwards has participated in a number of "The Waltons" TV reunions. After appearing in episodes of the 2007 Texas-based HBO series "12 Miles of Bad Road," featuring Lily Tomlin and Mary Kay Place, Edwards moved from L.A. to Dallas, where she continues to pursue her first love, theater.
