Leland wants to sit back while the publishing checks roll in. The younger generation is racing to get their own piece of the pie. LeA is working with Lady Luck to create new music, but when her birthday falls on the same day as her cousin’s new girlfriend, LeA learns that the world doesn’t revolve around her. Darnell has his own musical ambitions, but he’s spending too much time producing a new artist against Eseni’s will. The Robinsons will discover just how far they are willing to go in order to regain their spot on the throne of hip-hop.

Leland struggles to assert his role as boss; Darnell lands in the hospital; LeA brings the family together for a cookout without Shanell, aka Lady Luck; Luck feels increasingly sidelined during her collaboration with cousin LeA.

Rapper Raekwon lights a fire under Rhondo; Darnell pitches new ideas and gets kicked out of Leland's office; a sit-down between Shanell, aka Lady Luck, and LeA explodes into a screaming match; Lelo heads to court; Lady Luck talks to her lawyer.

Darnell splurges on an extravagant gift to prove his love to Eseni; Leland attempts to unite the Robinsons by throwing a family basketball game; the rift between LeA and Shanell deepens as they each plot the next step in their careers.

Leland makes LeA an offer; Rhondo rallies the rest of the men to confront Big Lee with their concerns about how he's running Sugarhill Records; Darnell and Eseni have another huge blow up; Shanell plots her next move to relaunch her career.
