Chaos

S1 E2: The pyramid age ended in catastrophe. In one of Saqqara's last pyramids, Joann uncovers evidence of famine as the young Egyptian state suffers a worsening climate. With depleted coffers, Egypt is plunged into civil war amongst many small town leaders. In Thebes, stories emerge of a bloody battle that marked the reunification of Egypt and the world's first recorded war cemetery. The country was reborn and Egypt's golden age was to be based in Thebes and its Valley of the Kings.
