Episode 2

S1 E2: The next day it appears that one of the girls, Linda, has a black eye as a result of her night with one of the Russians. A young woman calling herself Carola arrives on the doorstep asking for work as a maid, telling Brigitte she previously worked at the house for the Falkenbergs and needs a home. Brigitte also invites a new girl, Maria, who has lived in London. Anastassia, the Russian speaker, reveals the Major Tributs had told her his job is to dismantle the Estonian Navy and control the ports. Brigitte overhears Carols on the phone asking someone to 'protect us'. A new group of local officers brings along a young American diplomat, Henry Anthiel, who will soon have to go to Helsinki as the Russians are expelling foreigners. One of the locals thinks he recognizes Carola. During the night, Brigitte seem Carola tearing photos from the Falkenberg family albums and burning them.
