He Is Shoutmon, Hear Him Roar

S1, E2: The Bagra Empire again attacks the Village of Light, where Shoutmon lives. Shoutmon is at a disadvantage, and Mikey helps him combine using Digi-Fusion. Shoutmon asks Mikey to continue fighting alongside him, but Mikey partly for Angie and Jeremy's sakes, says he's going to return to the human world. Shoutmon holds a banquet in a desperate attempt to keep him from leaving. He expresses his fervent desire to become King of the Digital World, and Mikey reacts negatively to this and gets into a fight with him.
