Ilha Grande to Rio

S1, E3: This journey begins on one of the most popular islands to holiday on, Ilha Grande, and its main town Vila Abraao. Close by is an island entirely given over to an iron ore port for large bulk carriers. From here it is short flight past modern resorts to one of the great cities of the world – Rio de Janeiro. From Christ the Redeemer overlooking the city to Ipanema and Cocacabana beaches, Sugar Loaf Mountain, and, of course, not forgetting the stadium, which will host the world cup final, Rio has much to offer visitors. The journey ends at night looking down on the fabulous Rio Carnival.
