In the Heart of America

S1 E2: The American author John Steinbeck called Route 66 “Mother Road” in his novel “The Grapes of Wrath” 70 years ago. In the memory of Americans it has remained so even if has not been listed on any road map anymore since the construction of motorways. The search for its remains has become an adventure. A journey on the traces of an old road, which has become a symbol for the romance of a life on the highway, to be experienced first-hand at the lovingly-restored “Munger Moss” motel in Missouri.
