Like a Boss

S1 E2: Despite acquiring experienced new coach Danny, the Mustangs still have a long way to go. The girls run into conflict with Gabe and the boys over sharing the changing rooms and are given a sub-standard gravel pitch to play on. And when they get accused of “playing like girls”, it’s the last straw for Marnie. It’s time to fight back. After Marnie’s changing room sit-in fails miserably, Bella suggests that the way to beat the boys is to challenge them - they won’t be able to resist. So Marnie throws down the gauntlet and suggests a golden goal game against the boys team. If the girls win, they get change room equality, if they lose they must get changed in a tent. Game day and the girls defence is rock solid but don’t have the numbers to mount a serious attack. After half time, Ruby, a footballing hotshot from the US, offers to join the Mustangs and turns out to be a total gun. As the girls’ defend, they get the ball to Ruby and the Mustangs score. The ‘Stangs are thrilled but Ruby can’t quite work out why - their prize is a smelly old changing room with a dirty urinal.
