A Monster Calls

Based on the award winning novel, A MONSTER CALLS is a visually spectacular and stunningly emotional drama from the producers of Pan's Labyrinth and the director of The Impossible. Young Conor (Lewis MacDougall) is dealing with far more than other boys his age. His mother (Felicity Jones) has taken ill; he has little in common with his less than sympathetic grandmother (Sigourney Weaver); and he is the target of bullies at school. The only thing Conor can turn to is his artwork, which creates a world for him to escape. Then one night, Conor unexpectedly conjures an unlikely ally: an ancient 40-foot-high tree monster (voiced by Liam Neeson) who guides him on a journey of courage, loss and hope that powerfully fuses imagination and reality.
