Battle Circus

Humphrey Bogart and June Allyson star as a hard-bitten surgeon and an idealistic nurse who find romance at a mobile army field hospital during the Korean War. By-the-book commanding officer and surgeon Major Jed Webbe (Bogart) finds the idealism of his new nurse, Lieutenant Ruth McCara (Allyson) misplaced and annoying. But despite the grimness of the war raging around them, the relationship between the two grows into romance ... and the independent Webbe begins to realize he has met a woman he wants to marry.
