Little White Lies
Every year, Max, a successful restaurant owner and his wife Vero, invite a merry group of their Parisian friends to their beautiful summer beach house in Cap Ferret for their annual holiday. Fun, fine wine and good food mix with sun and sand as they all leave their city stresses and inhibitions behind. But this year is different. One of them, the hedonistic Ludo, is in a serious accident and lies unconscious in hospital. Assured by doctors there is nothing they can do, the group make the tough decision to head off on vacation. This sets off a dramatic chain of reactions as their relationships, loyalty and friendship are pulled apart and dragged together. There's commitment-phobe Marie struggling to cope with the fall-out of another one-night stand; lovelorn Antoine is obsessively pining for the girl who dumped him; while Eric is finally realising he's getting too old to chase skirts and cheat. And when the outwardly happily married Vincent, tells Max a secret he's been concealing, things get complicated. Director Guillaume Canet (Tell No One) has assembled an outstanding cast of some of France's finest actors headed by Academy Award-winning Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose), Benoit Magimel (The Piano Teacher) and Francois Cluzet (Tell No One).
