A first ever on-screen pairing of much loved British actors Vanessa Redgrave and Terence Stamp, as a bright and breezy grandmother who is determined to make it to a national choir competition, and her grumpy other half who is scornful of her activities. He's not one for joining in anything, but when heartbreak strikes, Arthur is forced to re-think his outlook on life. With the steady perseverance of choir director Elizabeth (Gemma Arterton), Arthur begins to find a way to come out of his shell. Realising it is never too late to change at age 70, Arthur finally dares to unlock his emotions and reach out to his estranged son.
