The Affairs of Dobie Gillis

Debbie Reynolds, Bobby Van and Academy Award winner Bob Fosse star in this delightfully silly romantic comedy about college freshman Dobie Gillis, for whom the main attraction of higher education is university coeds--the objects of The Affairs of Dobie Gillis. Gillis (Van) especially likes Pansy Hammer (Reynolds). Pansy's father thoroughly disapproves of Dobie, but the intrepid student merely looks upon parental scorn as yet one more obstacle to winning Pansy's heart. On his road to romantic conquest, Dobie manages to blow up the chemistry lab, convince his English professor that he is a literary genius--and charm absolutely everyone he meets.
