The year is 1912, and despite operating in the shadow of the guillotine, French gangsters continue to flourish. The Minister of Interior Affairs creates a dozen of his 'mobile brigades' and deploys them nationwide. One such unit, fronted by straight-arrow cop Valentin, is assigned to track down the gang led by France's most wanted: anarchist Jules Bonnot.
