Camille Delamarre

Camille Delamarre

Camille Delamarre was a French film editor and director best known as the director of the parkour action film "Brick Mansions" (2014). Delamarre made his directorial debut filming the short documentary "Le hors-champ" (2004), which took a look behind the scenes of the French film fantasy film, "Le coma des mortels" (2004). Over the next few years, Delamarre worked as the editor for several action films, several of them directed by Olivier Megaton. Delamarre and Megaton first collaborated in "The Transporter 3" (2008), which starred British action star Jason Statham as the titular tough-as-nails freelance courier. The two next worked on "Colombiana" (2011) with Zoe Saldana as a stone-cold assassin and "Taken 2" (2011), the sequel to the surprise 2008 blockbuster "Taken" which brought back Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson as a former CIA operative who stopped at nothing to protect his family. In spring 2014, Delamarre finally put those years working on action films to use with his feature film directorial debut "Brick Mansions" (2014). An action-thriller film that primarily focused on highlighting the acrobatic skills of parkour co-founder David Belle, "Brick Mansions" was also notable for being one of the last films in which "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker appeared.
