The judges welcome a fresh batch of home cooks to tackle creative cooking challenges in order to win a spot in the Masterchef Australia 2017 competition.
A mystery box of Thai ingredients and only 75 minutes to cook has contestants stumped, as they try to gain a huge advantage for the upcoming invention test.
The nine remaining contestants are flown to Japan in the next leg of the competition. They must explore Tokyo to find ingredients for the mystery box challenge.
The final two contestants compete to win the title of MasterChef 2017. They are also competing for $250,000 and a column in the Australian food magazine, Delicious.
