Taylor Knox

Canadian power pop singer/songwriter Taylor Knox emerged in the late-2000s as a go-to sideman and multi-instrumentalist for high-profile indie acts like Owen Pallett, Rich Aucoin, Alvvays, and the Golden Dogs, with the latter eventually recruiting him as a full-time member. Taking cues from hooky melodic rock icons like Sloan and Teenage Fanclub, the Toronto native launched his solo career in 2015 with Lines, a six-song EP that shed light on his strong songwriting craft as well as his musicianship. Working with longtime friend Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) to produce his first full-length, Knox emerged in the summer of 2017 with Love, offering a more nuanced version of his tuneful approach. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
