Where The Wild Men Are: Revisited

Ben Fogle ventures to the Emerald Isle to visit Georg and Bettina, an elderly European couple from Austria and Germany who made the Irish wilderness their home nearly 40 years ago.

Ben visits Bette in the wilds of northern Queensland, where she's been dealing with snakes, floods and isolation since moving to the harsh Australian wilderness 30 years ago.

Ben heads to California to spend some time with DNA, a homeless artist who is building an extraordinary home from scrap in an alternative lifestyle community called Slab City. Along the way, Ben uncovers the harsh reality of homelessness in the USA.

Ben meets a British couple named George and Sophie in Tuscany. George's desire to live self-sufficiently saw him embark on a lifelong project that culminated in them breathing new life into a farmhouse.

Ben spends time with Rob, someone he had previously encountered in Slab City, and learns about the challenges of living with a son on an island in the middle of an industrial river.

Ben journeys to Zambia to live with a British family who have built a safari lodge on the edge of a national park. In the process, Ben uncovers what motivates them to keep going in the face of challenges including fire and flooding.
