For the Love of Dogs

Paul's in puppy heaven as he names four newborns and even treats one to a typical O'Grady misadventure - a personal tour of the local boozer. There's a family who believe they've finally found their long-lost dog, Roxy, they recognise her, but the big test is whether she recognises them, and Paul uses his persuasive powers to get a portly Jack Russell to go cold turkey on his cheese addiction.

Paul meets a rather attractive bulldog with a rather unattractive eye problem, we also meet a shih tzu with a wobbly walk who needs Paul's help, in the form of a little puppy physio, to ensure she can strut her stuff to a new home, and Paul is with a desperate lurcher who has been so neglected and become so poorly that it's a fight for survival.

Clinic staff fight to save the sight of a Tibetan terrier with a painful eye condition, Paul takes three puppies to visit sick children in a local hospital, the star of the show is Tyler, a mongrel pup who proves he can get along with just about anyone, but can he bond with Dame Jacqueline Wilson's cat? He needs to if he is to get a home with the famous children's author.

Paul meets Pepi the shih tzu, who is in his twilight years and whose health is failing. All he needs is a caring home during the last few months of his life.

Paul meets a former breeding dog, who's terrified and won't even leave her kennel; clinic staff say farewell to a cheeky Chihuahua who has made a big impression; and a mastiff cross gets some lessons in etiquette from an extremely polite husky.

Paul plays midwife to Jolie as the staff eagerly await the birth of her seven adorable puppies. Battersea trainer Ali falls for a one-eyed Doberman named Maggie, whilst Paul helps with the painstaking job of removing the matted hair from a distressed and neglected German Shepherd called Lady.
