Nikos heads to Athens and catches up with his mentor, Captain Makis; he then travels on to Kythera and Salamis where he learns about the maritime history of the area and his own family history.

Nikos takes a Greek superferry to Syros, where he works with the Port Police and local shipbuilders. He then continues on to Paros where he meets one of the island's fishermen who was responsible for saving hundreds of people from a ferry disaster.

Nikos heads to Agathonisi and goes on patrol with the Hellenic Coast Guard to intercept asylum seeker boats. He then travels to Kalymnos and meets the island's renowned sponge divers.

Nicos heads to the island of Fournoi where he meets an endearing fishing family. He is soon exposed to the results of overfishing in The Aegean. Later, he travels to Samos whee he catches up with the renowned wooden boat builders.

Nikos is taken to the island home of one of Greece's billionaire shipowners; later, he heads to Agathonisi where he goes on patrol with the Hellenic Coast Guard.

While on an amazing 50-foot yacht, Nikos heads to Kalymnos to catch up with the island's renowned sponge divers and hear about their curious trade.
