After discovering that the pickle factory's faulty filtration system contaminates the nearby creek, Holly defies her mother to expose the truth.

Holly and Piper both plan birthday parties on the same day. When Piper refuses to change the date of her party, Holly attempts to upstage her.

Still upset about the night before, Holly and Tyler go to Chicago and visit art galleries, museums and a guitar store.
