Dineo reveals her recent find to Marcus and Lloyd: the mystical Walala statue. The tribe that crafted it believes in its ability to animate dreams; Lloyd persuades Marcus to conduct the required ritual to activate the statue's powers.

Dineo learns about the statue's power from Marcus and Lloyd; the trio set out to meet a mysterious sangoma who reveals their individual destinies. To overcome the statue's curse, they must face a series of trials.

After resolving Lloyd's encounter with his deceased teacher, Marcus faces the challenge of confronting his dreams. However, his inability to control his mind leads to a painful revelation when he summons someone who causes embarrassment.

Given their impending need to confront their phobias, Dineo proposes a visit to a hypnotist. The aim is that the hypnotist can help ease their fears, subsequently reducing the challenges they will need to confront.

Upon returning home, Marcus's phobia surfaces dramatically; Marcus and Lloyd confront their darkest fears.

In a surprising turn of events, Marcus and Lloyd realise that the story is far from over. The stakes extend beyond their lives and an innocent soul to the destiny of entire families.
