Sawako Kuronuma enters a new high school and volunteers to be a ghost for a school activity after getting teased for her spooky looks.

Sawako scares her classmates when she comes to school soaking wet, but Kazehaya and Yoshida show her some kindness. Kazehaya adopts a stray puppy.

Kazehaya and Sawako grow closer and perform classroom chores together after school. Sawako volunteers to make an attendance book.

Rumours circulate about Ayane and Chizuro. Sawako gets blamed for starting rumours as misunderstands abound.

Feeling guilty for causing Yoshida and Yano trouble, Sawako decides to put some distance between her and her friends.

Sawako gets into a fight with a student who is gossiping about Yoshida and Yano in the bathroom. Just as things heat up, Yoshida and Yano appear.
