Lost City of the Jungle

Following the end of WWII, war-monger Sir Eric Hazarias sets the wheels in motion for WWIII. His search for Meteorium 245, the only practical defence against the atomic bomb, leads him to mythical Pendrang.

A plane piloted by Tal Shan locates the stranded Rod Stanton and Marjorie Elmore and the two are taken to Zalabar, capitol of Pendrang.

Rod Stanton dives into the dynamited pool of light and rescues Tal Shan from drowning. Dr Elmore, his daughter Majorie, and his assistnat Grebb visit the scene in search of the lost city.

Following the discovery of a new element that acts as a defence against the atomic bomb, the United Peace Federation sends an agent to Pendrang, the Himalayan province where it was located, to stop warmongers trying to find it.

Rod Stanton is rescued from the lion's pit by his assistant Tal Shan; discovering that a mysterious individual posing as Geoffrey London, is actually Sir Eric Hazarias.

Sir Eric believes that Rod Stanton has been tossed into the blazing pit. Stanton's fall however is broken by a ledge where discovers a table bearing mysterious hieroglyphics.
