Sixteen-year-old Rae has a huge lust for life and love, an eccentric mother, and mental health issues. She gets discharged from a psychiatric hospital.

Rae is determined to catch up with the rest of the gang in terms of her sexual experience, but worries her weight will keep her from getting a boyfriend. When one of the boys asks her out on a date, she embarks on a journey of sexual discovery.

Rae and Chloe's friendship becomes difficult when Rae learns who Chloe has been secretly dating. Rae finds herself drawn back to her old patterns of destructive behaviour.

Rae is falling in love but doesn't know whether to admit it to the object of her desires. As Kester pushes her to examine what triggered her self-harming, Rae is torn between telling people the truth or keeping her illness a secret.

Chloe and Rae fight to win Finn's affection. After arguing with both her mum and Kester, Rae decides to stop taking her medication, but the consequences are huge.

Rae is in a very dark place after the rave. To make matters worse, she loses her diary and her deepest secrets may be revealed.
