Elmo and Abby make use of Abby's trunk of costumes. They dress up as cowboys, doctors and a mummy. Abby dresses as a bike repair person and helps Rosita with her bike. The Smart Cookies work together to dismantle the Bear Claw.

While talking about birthdays, Norbert realises he doesn't have one. This makes Norbert sad, so Zoe and Rosita plan to throw a surprise party to cheer him up. While preparations are underway, Grover distracts Norbert.

Rubber Duckie tells Ernie that it's nearly Elmo's bath time. Elmo tries to hide from Nina so he can avoid having a bath and keep playing. When Nina finally catches him, they run into Ernie, who tells Elmo he can still play in the bath.

Elmo makes sure his apple tree has good soil, water and sunshine, but he still needs to learn how to be patient and wait for it to grow.
