Hua Rong (Zhao Zhao Yi), a runaway from a respected family, seeks adventure and encounters the infamous pirate Qin Shang Cheng (Yuan Hao), who initially kidnaps her but later falls in love. Despite their mutual affection and plans to marry, the Emperor intervenes, demanding Hua Rong wed Duan Mu Bai (Wang Ze Xuan), a hostage prince, to ensure peace. Determined to choose her own destiny, Hua Rong resists the imperial decree, while Chi Hong (Guan Xin), another female pirate, also schemes to win Qin Shang Cheng's heart. The lovers must navigate political intrigue, personal ambitions, and external challenges to be together. This is a sequel to the 2019 drama "The Romance of Hua Rong," a 2022 Chinese drama series directed by Ren Hai Tao.
