Abby Barnes is a radio pet advisor. After helping photographer Brian soothe a nervous dog over the air, he asks her out but she's insecure about her looks and sends her friend Noelle, a stunning but not particularly bright blonde, along instead. Brian falls for her but he and Abby talk on the phone for hours and eventually the two women are using their different talents for his affection.
