A fight after a particularly tough day leads Stan and Roger to get a taste of life in each other's shoes, but the swap quickly gets out of hand.

Burt gave up on his teenage dreams of being a rock star because he was a parent. Jimmy feels so guilty for ruining his father’s dream that he gets Burt a second chance to relive his rock fantasy with his music idol, Smokey Floyd (guest star Jason Lee), at the upcoming Grocery-Palooza concert.

It’s a “My Name is Earl” reunion as the Chances throw a birthday party for Hope. Jason Lee reprises his guest-star role as former rock star Smokey Floyd, and he is joined by guest stars Jaime Pressly, Ethan Suplee, Nadine Velazquez and Eddie Steeples as Natesville locals who all band together to save the party. Then, Sabrina is excited to introduce her new friend Rachel (guest star Hilary Duff) to the family, but Virginia and Burt are shocked when she turns out to be Jimmy’s ex-girlfriend who broke his heart as a teenager.

Following the revelations of the “Inside Probe” expose of their family history, the Chances are put on trial in a fight to retain custody of Hope.
