Gek van Oranje

It is summer 2010 and the Netherlands keeps on scoring during the World Cup in South Africa. The Orange fans dream of a place in the final with every match won, while those who have nothing to do with football have the deserted streets to themselves. In this slightly heated state of mind, people are driven towards each other or further away from each other, never to be the same after four weeks - when the carnival of the World Cup is over. Gek van Oranje is a feel-good mosaic film that takes place during those few weeks when the Netherlands shakes off its do-it-yourself mentality and is completely absorbed in the total orange craze.
