On Wings of Eagles

Despite having won an Olympic gold medal in the United Kingdom and having a beautiful estate, Eric Liddell was born in China, where he lived most of his life, teaching and evangelising. This movie bears the true story of this great athlete, who refused to run in the 1924 Olympics for being on a Sunday, a day of honoring God. After these events, Liddell returned to China, where his heart lives, yet the times in the country are turbulent, as Imperial Japan is beginning to dominate the region and terrorize the population.
