While investigating the killing of a prominent Middle Eastern leader, French journalist Yves Dorget (Philippe Noiret) discovers that the assassination is tied to a major deal involving nuclear power. As Yves digs deeper into the case, television anchorwoman Catherine Carre (Nicole Garcia) joins him, and the pairing rekindles old feelings between the ex-lovers. As Yves and Catherine grow closer once again, they risk losing their lives when they get in over their heads.
