Adam Brody

Actor Adam Brody spent his childhood and adolescence in San Diego, California, where he lived with his parents and two younger brothers. Brody was a poor student in high school, and spent most of his free time surfing. After a year of community college, Brody moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. After hiring an acting coach and being signed with a talent management agency, Brody booked his first television movie after only a year of auditioning. This debut role was the role of Barry Williams in the film "Growing Up Brady" (NBC, 2000), a film about the reality of the actors in the famous series "The Brady Bunch" (ABC, 1969-1974) The next year Brody was cast in "American Pie 2" (2001). In 2002 Brody was cast as a recurring cast member in "Gilmore Girls" (WB, 2000-07) as the boyfriend and bandmate of Lane Kim. In 2003 Brody was cast in a lead role in the teenage drama "The O.C." (Fox, 2003-07). After "The O.C." finished its final season, Brody began appearing in small roles in indie films. In 2010 Brody starred alongside actress Leighton Meester in "The Oranges." Brody and Meester became in engaged in 2013 and were married in 2014 in a private ceremony. In 2015 the couple welcomed their first child. In addition to his work as an actor, Brody has performed in several bands including Big Japan and cowritten a comic book miniseries entitled "Red Menace."
