The Winner

Convinced the government will collapse under his successor Mráz and make his removal temporary, Viktor plans for a valiant return; meanwhile, at home, Viktor struggles to reconnect with his family and adjust to the realities of "normal" life.

Viktor’s convictions that Slovakia will collapse without him somehow do not materialize, but his many personal items from the government offices do -- including a gaudy self-portrait; Viktor and his daughter Hana agree to help each other.

The worst has happened: after losing his assistants and secretary, Viktor must learn how to use a computer; Viktor becomes jealous of Saša’s relationship with their daughters and tries to buy their affection.

Bored and unable to think of doing anything but politics, Viktor searches for his next obsession: fixing the apartment; Saša is offered a senior job at the hospital and faces the dilemma of whether to finally prioritize her own career.

Feeling threatened by Saša’s rejection and the unexpected death of his younger former minister, Viktor tries to prove his virility and health despite his age by joining a charity run for Saša’s hospital.

Caught between Mráz and Bára’s competing political ambitions, Viktor takes an opportunity to restart his own career in politics, but things are compromised by a family scandal which forces Viktor to reconsider his values.
