Alain Bashung

Alain Bashung was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Bashung began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Sandy" (1983), "Le Quatrieme Pouvoir" (1985) and "Le Beauf" (1986). His music also appeared in the Isabelle Huppert drama "La Vengeance d'une femme" (1990). Though known first for his music, Bashung also acted in "Rien que des Mensonges" (1991). His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like "A Shadow of a Doubt" (1993), "My Chinese Sister" (1994) and the Elsa Zylberstein comedy "Je veux tout" (1999). Bashung also created music for the dramedy "Ma petite entreprise" (1999) with Vincent Lindon. Recently, he continued to act in the Victoria Abril comedy "Mon pere, ma mere, mes freres et mes soeurs . ." (1999), the Charlotte Gainsbourg drama "Felix and Lola" (2001) and the comedic drama "Confusion of Genders" (2003) with Pascal Greggory. Bashung also contributed music to "Same Old Song" (1999) with Pierre Arditi. Most recently, Bashung acted in the crime drama "I Always Wanted to Be a Gangster" (2008) with Anna Mouglalis.
