Following a recurring role on the procedural drama "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" in 2005, Garces hit pay dirt in 2006 with a regular part on the acclaimed Shawn Ryan-created police series "The Shield." She starred as Officer Tina Hanlon in more than 30 episodes, from 2006 through 2008.
