E.J. Andre

E J Andre rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. J Andre's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the Don Knotts comedy "The Shakiest Gun in the West" (1968), the Kirk Douglas dramatic adaptation "The Arrangement" (1969) and the Barry Newman drama "The Lawyer" (1970). He also appeared in "Papillon" (1973). He also appeared in the TV movie "Miles to Go Before I Sleep" (CBS, 1974-75). He kept working in film throughout the seventies, starring in "Nickelodeon" (1976), "The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox" (1976) and the May Britt horror movie "Haunts" (1977). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Day the Earth Moved" (ABC, 1974-75). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "Magic" (1978) with Anthony Hopkins and "Nickel Mountain" (1985) with Michael Cole. J Andre was most recently credited in the horror feature "Evil Town" (1987) with James Keach. He also was featured in the TV movie "The Mysterious Two" (NBC, 1982-83). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Logan's Run" (CBS, 1977-78). J Andre passed away in September 1984 at the age of 76.
