Jessica Fox

Actress Jessica Fox has spent a good portion of her life in front of the camera, making her debut in a TV ad for laundry detergent at age eight. Her first appearance in film came via the 1992 family holiday comedy "The Muppet Christmas Carol," for which she provided the voice of the Ghost of Christmas Past. Her first on-screen role came four years later in the TV comedy "The Detectives," while still a teenager. Other guest roles followed in the '90s including a supporting role in the adventure mini-series "The Phoenix and the Carpet." Her breakout role came in 1998 when she was cast as the witch Enid Nightside in the children's fantasy show "The Worst Witch," a significant part that stretched over multiple seasons and established her as a major talent. Towards the end of the show's run she had a multiple-episode appearance on the crime drama "The Bill" and when "The Worst Witch" ended in 2001, Fox co-starred in the historical drama "Back Home," a TV movie. After several more years of guest roles, she found a series home again in 2005, when she was cast in the ensemble drama "Hollyoaks" earning several British Soap Award nominations for her portrayal of free spirit Nancy Hayton. She also joined several cast mates in the 2008 spinoff "Hollyoaks Later" in 2008.
