The Slave Hunters
Dae Gil and his companions retrieve a runaway slave family and turn them in for profit. Dae Gil later has a change of heart and helps the woman and child escape rape and torture. Dae Gil relives his horrific past and remembers both the pain of longing and the thirst for revenge.
Dae-Gil is tricked by his former mentor, but his companions save him from his anger when he tries to return the favor; The companions unknowingly hunt the man to whom Dae-Gil owes his life; Un-nyun, now Kim Hye-Won, gets closer to being forced into marriage.
Lee Dae Gil and Song Tae Ha's fight is interrupted when Chun Ji Ho's men attack; Choi persuades Ji Ho to stop the attack; Tae Ha is wounded but rescues Un Nyun from attackers; Dae Gil is the first target of the slave rebellion.
Dae Gil is grazed by the shot; Tae Ha remembers the deaths of his wife and child; Chul Woong is imprisoned for failing to prevent the slave escape; Dae Gil must kill or capture Tae Ha or forfeit his life; Tae Ha protects Un Nyun from Dae Gil's arrows.
Tae Ha escapes from Dae Gil with Un Nyun; disease ravages Jeju Island threatening the late Crown Prince's family; Un Nyun recalls how her brother murdered Dae Gil's family and watching the burning house collapse on Dae Gil. Dae Gil closes in on Tae Ha.
Dae Gil learns how Tae Ha became a slave; At Lee Gyeong Shik's request, Chul Woong murders Im Yeong Ho; Un Nyun reveals to Tae Ha her real name, Kim Hye Won; Tae Ha battles Chul Woong, Dae Gil and Choi at the same time.
