Phillip Rhys Chaudhary

British actor Phillip Rhys grew up in London, but became a world traveler at an early age due to his parents' jobs, which allowed the family to visit countries all over the world. In a way, that early love of travel could be viewed as the perfect preparation for life as a working actor. After graduating from Westminster College and living abroad for a year, Rhys studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute seminar in London taught by actress Marianna Hill and later relocated to Los Angeles where he attended classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. He is best known for his work on the television shows "24," where he played Reza Naiyeer, the fiancé of American terrorist Marie Warner, and for his role on the drama "Nip/Tuck," playing a medical student who became besotted with Julia McNamara, played by Joely Richardson. Many science fiction fans may know him best, though, as the character of Aaalim Sadiq on the show "Survivors," a modern update of the 1970s cult series. Rhys has also appeared in the Disney movies "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" and its sequel, has worked with Dennis Hopper on the series "Flatland," and has a role in Steven Spielberg's "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," the big-screen adaptation of the beloved comic strips.
