Cynthia Addai-Robinson

Cynthia Addai-Robinson was a British actress who rose to prominence in late 2016 after she appeared alongside Ben Affleck in the drama "The Accountant" (2016). Born in London to an African-born mother and an American father, Addai-Robinson grew up with an intense love for performing. After relocating to the United States at the age of four with her mother, Addai-Robinson spent the majority of her formative years in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She was initially drawn to various forms of dance, including ballet and tap, and was an accomplished dancer throughout her teens. By the time high school was ending, however, Addai-Robinson switched her focus to acting. She enrolled in New York's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts where she would earn her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theater four years later. After college Addai-Robinson started appearing as a guest star on various TV shows, including "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012), "Entourage" (HBO, 2004-2011), and "Numb3rs" (CBS, 2005-2010). She nabbed her first recurring role in 2009 on the short-lived sci-fi drama "FlashForward" (ABC, 2009-2010), but the show lasted only one season. Undeterred, Addai-Robinson continued nabbing parts on TV shows, as well as movies. In 2011 she appeared in her first feature film, "Colombiana," which also starred Zoe Saldana. The following year Addai-Robinson's fortunes changed once again when she appeared as the former slave Naevia on the Starz period drama "Spartacus: War of the Damned" (Starz, 2013). After her role on that series ended, Addai-Robinson followed it up by landing the part of Amanda Waller on "Arrow" (The CW, 2012-). Then in late 2016 Addai-Robinson appeared in "The Accountant." The film, which also starred Anna Kendrick and Ben Affleck, was released in October of 2016, thus adding further prestige to Addai-Robinson's already noteworthy acting career.
