S4 E1: A former Atlanta detective who moved to Los Angeles to head a special police department unit that solves sensitive, high-profile murder cases, LAPD Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (series star KYRA SEDGWICK) is a top-notch investigator. Yet despite her brilliance as an interrogator, she is hopeless at LAPD politics. She faces antagonistic roadblocks, even from her peers, and must manage a team that remains wary of her unconventional style. Brenda clashes at times with her fiancé, FBI Special Agent Fritz Howard (series star JON TENNEY), and has begun to wonder how much she really knows about the man she is about to marry. Meanwhile, Fritz is determined to make things work, even as he struggles to maintain his sanity in Brenda's often-crazy world. Brenda also constantly tries to overcome her love of sweets, fighting cravings that surface each time she passes a vending machine.
