S1 E6: The West German criminal police conduct a scientific examination and issue the final word on the authenticity of the diaries. Kujau, after a brief escape attempt, returns to face punishment and fame. Heidemann also has to answer for his part in the publication of the diaries. Vindicated, Elisabeth is back at Stern, while her father turns himself in to face justice.
