Episode 7

S2 E7: In this episode, George catches up with a familiar face from series one –designer Max McMurdo, who converted a shipping container into a garden office. Max has gone back to his old middle school in Bedford to create what could be the future of classroom design….out of two rusting shipping containers. George also visits a prototype for one of the smallest homes in the country. The 3m x 3m cube shaped home named QB2 includes a living area, bathroom with shower, kitchen, double bed, and storage space. In Somerset, George meets a couple whose vintage vehicle has been turned into a mobile cinema business. The vehicle, originally commissioned by the government in the 1960’s is the last one left in existence. And on his own build, the tree house pods have finally left the workshop and after a 400 mile trip up the motorway, William and the team struggle to get them onto the tricky site on the soft river bed and up amongst the trees.
