S1, E102: Despite the heroic actions of countless black soldiers and sailors, none are awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor during WWII. It takes a war in Korea before the military recognizes black men and women to be the equal of their white counterparts, and a war in Vietnam before African Americans begin to receive that same respect at home.
