School Ties...School Lies

S3 E3: During an educational visit to Briarlane Academy, a swank all-girls private school, Flo meets precocious and talkative youngster, Roya. The young student beseeches Flo to use her medical knowledge to test the accuracy of the coroner's findings in the death of beloved teacher, Miss Georgia Henning. When Flo's findings clash with the official coroner's report, which deemed the death an accident, the Drake Detective Agency takes the case. Frankie and Trudy make their way to the school grounds and with some inside help from Roya, dig into the life of Miss Henning. Their investigation reveals Miss Henning to be a beacon of progressivism bumping up against the conservative, traditional and stuffy Briarlane Academy establishment. A creationist teacher and a rigid headmaster aren't the only suspects though, as deeper digging by the gals (with a little help from little Roya) reveals a fuller picture of Henning, one of midnight trysts, heated arguments with friends and forbidden love affairs. The more time they spend on the pristine campus of Briarlane, the more the sheen wears off, exposing an institution whose claims of purity may not be as true as they seem. With more than enough suspects in their sights, Frankie must rely on the inside knowledge of the ever-present detective-in-training Roya to figure out who was behind this private school tragedy. In doing so, Frankie may uncover an even greater scandal, one that threatens to take down the school entirely. Meanwhile, Mary, frustrated with the rampant sexism at the police preventing her from realizing her dreams of being a full-fledged officer, decides to take matters into her own hands and prove once and for all that she has what it takes.
